Jardine Motors Group is a UK dealership with multiple brands including Porsche, Mercedes and Landrover. Jardine has made many acquisitions and, as a result, has inherited several disparate HR systems.
Running several different payroll systems was an ongoing challenge for the Group and each subsequent acquisition added to the HR and payroll landscape and increased complexity. In addition, the recruitment process wasn’t automated or efficient with a lot of manual interventions, requiring separate branding (e.g. recruiting specifically for Audi or Bentley).
So much disruption and change in the automotive industry is driven by technology which is changing people’s roles, working patterns and trends around the future of work. First-hand experience of the opportunities and challenges this presents is invaluable and we are delighted to host a webinar with Clare Martin, Group HR Director at Jardine Motors Group.
Clare is responsible for Jardine Motors’ people strategy. An innovation culture is part of the DNA for the Group and the HR function supporting over 3,000 employees is no exception. Jardine Motors engaged EPI-USE to replace all existing HR and Payroll systems with a single Core HR and Payroll system from SAP SuccessFactors, along with integrated Recruiting and Onboarding which included Docusign for online signatures to remove the requirement for physical paper copies for new starters. The full hire to retire process was covered for starters and leavers reducing administrative costs, creating efficiencies and give a single consistent set of data for reporting. SuccessFactors Learning was also deployed for course administration. EPI-USE also integrated SuccessFactors with Active Directory and an auto-industry ERP/Finance system to post the Payroll results automatically.
SuccessFactors job profiles and templates were used to ensure a smooth recruiting process, with simple posting of adverts to job sites, LinkedIn, etc, with successful candidates being hired direct into the Employee Central core HR module with no duplication of data entry.
